- Supports Children with Down Syndrome

Just as we are proud to be a part of the communities we serve, we believe strongly that it is also our social responsibility to aid their disadvantaged children. Thus, Malaysian JUSCO Foundation recently donated office and educational equipment worth over RM24,000 to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF).

KDSF is committed to the educational wellbeing of Down Syndrome children right up to six years old. With five centres around Malaysia, KDSF offers special education through special-needs teacher training programmes, with a focus on early intervention. KDSF also manages a Resource Centre, parent support groups and runs campaigns to create public awareness for Down Syndrome.

Through its With All Our Hearts campaign, Malaysian JUSCO Foundation supports the smooth and effective running of KDSF with these donations:

Office equipment such as meeting table, bookcase, cabinets, computer table, laminating machine and a computer

Classroom furniture such as square and hexagonal tables, wooden frames and seats

Educational material such as bean bags, turtle sandbox, trampolines, hula hoops and plastic rings

Therapy/Training equipment such as crawl tunnel, graduational stairs, massage ball, foot and hand massage and teeter
totter.

The exercise is part of Malaysian JUSCO Foundation’s programme to help Malaysian youths develop their potential and discover fuller, more meaningful lives for the betterment of our society.

Malaysian JUSCO Foundation feels privileged to lend support to KDSF towards this end, by contributing to the education and success of children with Down Syndrome. We look forward to organizing more innovative community programmes that will have a positive impact on less privileged children and the communities we work and live in.
