Guests at the 2008 With All Our Hearts (WAOH) Charity Gala dinner were hosted to a night of sumptuous food, great company, singing divas and funny men and ladies.
Organised by the Malaysian JUSCO Foundation annually, the WAOH Charity Gala 2008 kicked off at 7.00pm on 20th August 2008 at the Grand Ballroom Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel. Guest of Honour was none other than Yang Berhormat Dato’ Shahrir B. Abdul Samad, Minister of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs Malaysia.
As the evening began, the ballroom was packed with tremendous buzz and excitement. Featuring an elegant night with songstress Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza who is also the Ambassador of With All Our Hearts Malaysians JUSCO Foundation and she went all out to mesmerize guests with her delightful songs. This was followed by a highly charged game show by JJ and Rudy of Hitz.fm fame and later Malaysian Idol Jaclyn Victor took stage with her moving renditions. The night closed with Malaysia’s most successful queen of comedy, Joanne Kam Po Po who had the guests in stitches till the end.

The WAOH Charity Dinner Gala is a major fundraising activity for Malaysian JUSCO Foundation. Funds collected from the sales of tickets priced at RM1,000 for Gold seats and RM500 for Red seats will be chanelled to the Foundation’s yearly and upcoming charity events. This year, JUSCO’s business partners demonstrated their strong support and commitment to the success of the charity dinner gala. Their support is testimony of their understanding of the importance of our work at Malaysian JUSCO Foundation and the difference it makes to the live of the children we reach.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of an ambulance to Malaysian Red Crescent, a vital humanitarian service provider charity organisation. The Ambulance Fundraising Campaign was initiated at all JUSCO stores and shopping centres from 15th December 2007 – 15 March 2008. JUSCO customers around Malaysia had generously participated in the campaign and we are glad that our efforts led to such an important donation to such a worthy organization.

The With All Our Malaysian JUSCO Foundation gala dinner has become an essential feature since the Foundation’s inception in 2004 by AEON CO. (M) BHD. The Malaysian JUSCO Foundation’s mission is to help needy Malaysian children and youth by giving them opportunities to better their lives through education and better living conditions and helping in other ways such as covering medical expenses. To date, the Malaysian JUSCO Foundation has raised and donated nearly RM 2 million for various charitable organizations and less privileged individuals.

Always a spectacular night, guests and organizers returned home knowing that many special children will benefit from the evening’s proceeds.
